Technician

Playmobil Malta Ltd. is seeking to recruit a number of Technicians for various areas within the Company.

Applicants for these position should:

  • Possess a relevant technical certification (preferably at MQF Level 4 or higher).
  • Have a good command of the English language. Those with knowledge of Maltese will be given preference.
  • Have good knowledge of production application software.
  • Be able to work under pressure and to tight deadlines.
  • Be able to work in a team and lead a number of employees as required.
  • Have good problem solving skills and able to make quick decisions.
  • Have good organizational and communication skills.
  • Have good analytical fault finding and technical skills

Mould Maker

At this time this full-time vacancy is intended to work on a 2 Shift schedule within the Mould Shop. In the future this might vary according to the business needs.

The selected candidates will be responsible to construct, repair and maintain moulds by using the appropriate designs and machinery. The tasks to be performed may include:

  • Manual work on plastic injection moulds.
  • CAD/CAM programming, machining of electrodes, CNC-milling, lathe turning, spark & wire erosion or manual milling / drilling.
  • To evaluate faults and correct accordingly.
  • To ensure that machines and/or equipment function properly.
  • To ensure that the workplace, machinery, tools and equipment within the department are maintained clean and organized.

 

Applicants for this position should:

  • Possess a relevant technical certification. Those holding certificates at MQF Level 4 are preferred.
  • Have a good command of the English language
  • Have a thorough knowledge of plastic injection moulds.
  • Have a sound knowledge of machining applications such as milling, drilling, bench fitting and surface grinding.
  • Have basic knowledge in CNC machining.
  • Be able to work under pressure and to tight deadlines.
  • Be able to work in a team and lead a number of employees as required.
  • Have good problem solving skills and able to make quick decisions.
  • Have good organizational and communication skills.
