Machine Hand

A vacancy for a Machine Hand has arisen within the Injection Moulding Process Department (IPD).

In the role, the main tasks include:

• Running a number of machines;
• Carrying out Quality checks accordingly to the Quality Instructions;
• Monitoring and certifying that machines are operating to the correct quality level;
• Operating the data monitoring system (HYDRA);
• Leading and motivating an assigned group of operators;
• Assisting the process technicians in the operation, as required

The chosen candidates need to have an MQF level 1 certification and be able to communicate well both in spoken and written English. The ideal candidates will also have:

• Further educational achievements preferably including English and Mathematics at MQF level 3;
• Basic computer knowledge;
• A technical background or been working in a technical environment for a number of years;
• The ability to work in a team and lead others. Those able to demonstrate this through past achievements in or out of the workplace will be preferred;
• Organisation ability, showing an eye for detail and a disposition towards good housekeeping on the shop floor.

Applicants will be expected to sit for a written test and training will be given to the selected candidates.
